Lets get a Dog ? asks bob , some 30 years or more ago...

At the time, all i knew was this, i just wanted a huge soft teddy bear type of dog, one that would lie on the floor a love a cuddle or two ..

I had no idea where to start , so a trip to the local vet was on the cards, sure enough he knew what i wanted , and i was guided towards the 'Newfoundland' ... next up was where to look and find such a dog, lucky for me, the local Newfoundland Welfare n Rescue was based at kirkham ...

before you knew it , we were being home checked , and making new Newfie friends while out n about walking there own dogs....

this was the very start of a 30 year long love affair with the most beautiful of gentle giants ,

Over the decades gone, we have helped put back our time into the welfare system , and this month it was a real shock to find myself and our group as a Feature column within or Newfie Mag... wow, wow , such an honour indeed...
